Dramatic Writing

Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama cultivates a range of inventive, visionary and professional writers for screen, stage and television.

We support the building of new careers and have prepared an impressive pool of talent for entry into the profession since 1914. A vital part of this process is appearing at the New York and Los Angeles Senior Showcases of New Talent.

Showcase programs provide graduating students with opportunities to meet agents, casting directors, producers, directors, designers, playwrights, and other established working professionals in theater, film and television working in the US and around the world.

The Pittsburgh Showcase will be Saturday, May 19 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m in the John Wells Video Studio at the Purnell Center for the Arts. The New York Showcase will be Wednesday, May 23 at the Midtown Lofts (267 Fifth Avenue, 11th Floor) from 5 p.m.-9 p.m.
