Phoebe Huggett
Scenic Designer
2025, she/they BFA Drama, Scenic Design
Phoebe is a scenic designer trained at Carnegie Mellon School of Drama with a foundation in scenic construction and painting as the background of her work in theatre and design. She extends this by working with a variety of practical methods of making including woodwork, soldering,, welding, and enjoys the ability to make what she can design. She views design as an opportunity to learn those practical skills in support and to push herself to understand new situations and ideas through research.
Phoebe is deeply invested in crafting a world when she designs. Her process is focused on environmental storytelling that sets up a display of the forces at play in the work for actors and audience to exist in.This extends beyond just scenic design and into interests in environmental as well as museum exhibit design.
