Pan-Pan Gou
Sound Designer
2025, she/her MFA Drama, Sound Design
Pan-Pan is a sound designer and composer who seeks to explore what sonic immersion and interaction could be.
Passionate about creating sonic experiences that transcend minds and hearts, she has designed soundscapes for theater, games, and films, to music technology and dance. One of her recent credits includes the VR game “Pittsburgh Glass Center: Virtual Glass Blowing,” which received Golden place at the 2023 International Serious Play Award and is currently in classroom use at the Pittsburgh Glass Center. In 2024, she curated the sound design curriculum at the 2024 National High School Game Academy, teaching comprehensive course of conceptual design and technical implementation to over 70 high school students.
With Pan-Pan’s classical voice background, she is deeply fascinated by the innate musicality in sound design and loves to create evocative, dynamic composition through a blend of synthesis, instruments of various cultures, real time vocal processing, and sound effects.
In her time, she enjoys sports, music making, and reading with a cup of tea.
