Raised on a little hill in northeast LA, Nell’s early dreams of becoming a famous belly dancer evolved into a lifelong devotion to performance. With deep roots in theater, spanning Vaudeville and a Japanese grandfather who made it to Hollywood after his incarceration during World War II, artistry and perseverance run in her blood. On stage and screen, Nell finds joy in transformation. Offstage, she freehand crochets, experiments with film photography, and listens to Laufey in the dark.
