Scenic Designer
2025, they/them BFA Drama, Scenic Design
Louise Cutter is a location-based designer, manager, and artisan from Los Angeles, California. With a passion for immersive environments, Louise is most fascinated by the opportunity to develop a world through the physical environment and visual narrative. Engaging with art in a way that cultivates escapism has been integral to their emotional survival as a human. As an artist, Louise believes in social responsibility and is dedicated to returning these feelings of wonder and joy they experienced through immersion by pursuing a career in this line of work.
In addition to receiving a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama with an area of concentration in Scenic Design, Louise received further education through classes provided by the Entertainment Technology Center. They pursued a four-month apprenticeship in the Scenery and Props department at Sleep No More NYC and The McKittrick Hotel. Most recently, Louise finished an eight-month internship with Universal Creative as the Show/Set/Scenic/Rockwork Intern for an undisclosed project! Check back soon for more information. During their education, Louise served as the Scenic Designer for Macbeth, 2024, and Transformations, 2024.
Louise is an artist, designer, manager, collaborator, and maker.
