Born in Medellín, Colombia, JJ was adopted as a baby and raised in Traverse City, Michigan. Growing up in a unique area with a unique identity, he spent most of his childhood creating fantasy worlds outside, surrounded by great forests and the Great Lakes, come sun or the seemingly endless amounts of snow! His life changed at the age of eight after witnessing a community theater production of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, where he left wanting to play all three parts. Performing allowed him to be anything and everything, and he never looked back, following that dream all the way to CMU. Outside of Acting, JJ can be found swimming, practicing ballet, developing his photography skills, working on his impressions of Edna Mode and The Grinch, and expanding his palette as he is a reformed picky eater.
