Emily Yago was born in the always sunny Valencia, California. Growing up, theatre became an outlet for her zany and playful self-expression. She credits her role as Edwina in Dear, Edwina as the pivotal moment that sparked her passion for performing. Emily was accepted into the Acting Program at CMU, where she has continued to explore not only her craft, but also who she is as an artist and individual. Her roles as Maeve in The Grown-Ups and Matt in Matt & Ben have fed her quirky sense of self and humor. Beyond acting, she aspires to become fluent in American Sign Language, and continue dancing whenever she’s truly happy.
