Born and raised in South Florida, Ella grew up inspired by the music of passion and celebration that followed her family from Cuba. After moving to Pittsburgh, she discovered that her favorite season is fall, but she is still notoriously bad at dressing for the cold. Ella spends most of her free time songwriting, trading books with friends, and trying to get birds to come to her bird feeder. More than anything, she is committed to spending her life contributing to creative work that both celebrates imperfection and points the way toward resilience and growth.
