Carly Tamborello
Stage & Production Manager
2026, she/her BFA Drama, Stage & Production Management
Carly Tamborello (she/her) is a stage manager, production manager, and writer from Orlando, Florida. Some of her greatest hits at Carnegie Mellon include stage managing Arcadia and The Grown-Ups, production managing Antigone and Matt & Ben, and being a part of the festival management team across two years of Playground. She is a hard worker drawn to fast-paced projects, and loves being ingrained in the creative process and rehearsal room.
As a manager, Carly approaches each new role, team, and project with a sense of curiosity. She believes there is joy to be found in asking questions and seeking to know more, both about the people around us and the work we are doing. She believes collecting information and elevating the voices of our peers is how we solve problems, and gives us a vector by which to accomplish our goals. A strong ensemble is the basic unit of life-changing theatre.
As a writer, Carly has a passion for works that are seen, heard, and in conversation with an audience, whether that audience is two people or two hundred. Marrying her Drama studies with her Creative Writing minor, she has written and directed two plays during Playground (Our Gay Apparel and The Time I Spend Away). Carly is delighted by the workshop process and spends much of her free time talking about story.
Looking ahead, Carly hopes to continue to pursue unique management and problem-solving opportunities, and to be a part of developing new work, whether it be in theatre, television, or immersive projects.
