Arrim Jung
Dramaturg
2026 BXA, Film and Visual Media and Dramaturgy
Arrim Jung is a Korean American writer/director and dramaturg based in Los Angeles who uses film and theater as a mouthpiece for cultural conversation. She is currently completing her interdisciplinary Bachelor of Humanities and Arts at Carnegie Mellon University in Film and Visual Media and Dramaturgy (dramatic script consulting and development). Simultaneously, she is pursuing her Accelerated Master’s degree in Entertainment Industry Management through Carnegie Mellon’s Heinz College.
Cultural and philosophical inquiry is Arrim’s greatest passion and is the source of her contributions as dramaturg, writer, director, organizational leader, and academic. Her short film “The Red Vow” was recognized and selected for multiple festivals including the Accolade Global Film Competition and the Ovation Film Festival. She serves as Co-President of her campus’s Veritas Forum chapter, part of a national organization founded at Harvard University to engage college campuses in life-shaping questions. She has led forums such as “What Has AI Done to Me?”, “Did Humans Create God?”, and “Where Do the Three Abrahamic Religions Diverge?” Her academic pursuits led to her nomination and induction into the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society awarded to only 1% of graduating students nationwide.
In 2024, she led multiple Augmented Reality (AR) projects in the art-hub city of Nantes, France through Carnegie Mellon’s Summer Study Abroad program, exploring French linguistic landscapes. For the summer of 2026, she has been one of the few selected for a fully funded scholarship to Seoul National University’s International Summer Program.
Her professional experience includes work with Nancy Mosser’s Casting Agency in Pittsburgh and Kyra Sedgwick’s Big Swing Productions in Los Angeles.
