Abigail “Abby” Brunner
Stage & Production Manager
2026, she/her BFA Drama, Stage & Production Management
Abigail “Abby” Brunner is a stage and production manager from Northern Virginia. Growing up in an arts-focused household, Abby was always drawn to her creativity. After finding her passion for theatre and the arts in middle school, Abby continues to grow throughout her collegiate education. Ambitious, talented, kind, heartfelt and humorous are just some words used to describe Abby. She enjoys creating a welcoming environment for all, whether on stage or off.
Some of Abby’s favorite past projects include: assistant stage managing for the Transformed PIT Gala; shadowing the management team at the Pittsburgh Opera; and both Stage Managing and Assistant Stage Managing at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Working with many different multi-talented and faceted artists was an experience Abby continues to be grateful for. Everyday she learns from the people around her, whether it be in the classroom, backstage, shadowing or just hanging with friends, Abby is always absorbing new information.
Abby has been constantly interested in trying new things within the theatrical industry. Last year in May she had the opportunity to train with Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas for a four day intensive sponsored by USITT. Through this experience Abby learned she enjoys the ability to be flexible, creative and surrounded by others who love this art form as much as she does.
When Abby isn’t in the throes of a production you can often find her either reading a book, hanging out with friends and family or enjoying a nice hike outside.
