At Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama, Danielle teaches Technical Management and Production Personnel Management, helping students navigate the complex interplay of people, process, and production. She also advises stage managers across several productions, supporting them as they develop into confident, thoughtful, and collaborative leaders.

Danielle Paccione is a stage and production management professional, AEA stage manager, educator, and arts administrator with a career spanning professional theatre, higher education, touring productions, concerts, immersive experiences, corporate events, and new works. Her experience includes guiding productions from early planning through rehearsal, technical production, performance, and closeout.

Throughout her career, Paccione has worked closely with directors, designers, performers, technicians, producers, students, and administrative teams. Her areas of practice include personnel management, production planning, scheduling, budgeting, labor relations, contracts, safety, and communication. She values the collaborative nature of theatre and the role stage and production managers play in connecting the artistic, technical, and human elements of a production.

As an educator and mentor, Paccione encourages emerging stage and production managers to approach their work with curiosity, clarity, and care. Her teaching emphasizes practical application, thoughtful decision-making, clear communication, and an awareness of how each choice affects both the creative process and the people involved. She is committed to helping students develop their own leadership styles while building the skills and confidence needed to navigate complex production environments. She also advocates for sustainable production practices that support safety, effective collaboration, and the well-being of the people who make the work possible.
