BFA ACTING & MUSIC THEATER, 2021

Even though she just graduated from CMU’s BFA Music Theater program in 2021, Simone Joy Jones has had a long professional career as both an actress and a singer. Simone made her Broadway debut in 2010 in the revival production of “The Miracle Worker” opposite Abigail Breslin; she had her feature film debut shortly after in “The Son of No One” starring Al Pacino and Channing Tatum. While at CMU, Simone received the 2021 John Arthur Kennedy Award for Excellence in Acting or Music Theater. 

Since graduation, Simone has continued working in film and television, as well as jumpstarting her musical career under the name S!MONE. She recently starred in the remake of “Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead” and can be seen in one of the main roles on “Bel-Air,” Peacock’s reboot of the classic ‘90s sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” Her single “We ft.DanSully” and EP “Divine Mistakes” can be found on all streaming platforms.
