BFA PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY, 2023

James Gallo (he/him) is a proud member of the first graduating class of Carnegie Mellon School of Drama Production Technology students (‘23). In his time at CMU, he had the pleasure of completing numerous production assignments in the areas of lighting technology and design. Most notably, he was the lighting designer for “Dance Nation” directed by Jasmine Roth, the lighting programmer for “Godspell” the mainstage musical directed by Tomé Cousin, and the production electrician for “Idaspe” in collaboration with Quantum Theatre Company and Chatham Baroque at the Byham Theater in Pittsburgh.

Following graduation, he went on to join The Weeknd After Hours Til Dawn Global Stadium Tour as a Production Assistant and Asst. Lighting Director in Europe and South America. He has also worked on projects such as the Usher Vegas Residency (Asst. Lighting Design), the F1 Las Vegas Opening Ceremony (Media Manager), Nitro Circus (Assoc. Lighting Design), the Robin Hood Fundraising Dinner (Media Manager), and the 77th Tony Awards (Screens Assistant). 

He has recently joined the team at AEON Point full time as a Technical Producer, working on concerts, corporate events, and many other live events in the areas of screens producing and lighting design. He is excited to be working with some of the top industry talent to create unforgettable experiences.
