Chase Trumbull

MFA TECHNICAL DIRECTION, 2021

Chase Trumbull (MFA Technical Direction, ‘21) is an experienced technical director, carpenter and designer who has been working in the industry for over a decade. Before coming to CMU, Chase toured with the dance company Pilobolus, first as a production intern and then in stage operations. 

After leaving Pilobolus, he freelanced as a technical director with noted companies such as New Century Theatre Company, Pioneer Valley Ballet and the Hangar Theatre in Ithaca, New York. His freelance work brought him to CMU, where he worked as the Job Lead for a variety of productions. His experience with sculpting, rigging and building led to him taking on the roles of Project Engineer and Venue Operations Manager in his final year.
