Engagement & Belonging

As an institution, the School of Drama is committed to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion for people of all identities. We condemn all forms of racism, bias, and racial injustice. Our work aligns with that of the office of Engagement & Belonging within the College of Fine Arts to ensure that we provide safe and welcoming spaces for students to learn, create, and grow.

Engagement & Belonging at the College of Fine Arts
Within the College of Fine Arts (CFA), we understand and believe in the importance of fostering an inclusive community — one that is equitable and accessible to all our members.
Dr. Angelica Perez-Johnston is CFA’s Associate Dean for Engagement & Belonging. She works closely with School of Drama faculty, staff, and students to provide support and foster growth while increasing belonging and inclusivity for all in our community.

Campus Climate and Bias Reporting
CMU’s Campus Climate and Bias Reporting Protocol is a non-disciplinary mechanism for reporting and informally resolving incidents of alleged bias focusing on education, restoration, and strengthening and upholding our core values as a university community.
Center for Student Diversity & Inclusion
The Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion actively cultivates a strong, diverse and inclusive community capable of living out these values and advancing research, creativity, learning and development that changes the world.
