Liberty Lapayowker

Stage and Production Manager

2025, she/her BSA, Mathematical Sciences & Stage and Production Management

Liberty Lapayowker will be graduating from Carnegie Mellon University in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Science and Art from the BXA Program, concentrating in Mathematical Sciences and Stage & Production Management.

Liberty’s undergraduate experience has consisted of in-depth exposure across the academic spectrum which has provided an awareness of how important it is to continuously process and apply new information, remaining open-minded in every situation. Her love for science and entertainment is rooted in discovery and learning, both having endless opportunities to absorb information. The connections she has made within and beyond these disciplines have been immeasurable. For example, the block and pulley diagram drawn in her physics course corresponds to the same mechanism as that of the counterweight system in a theater. This exchange of languages has been foundational to how she communicates about disciplines interchangeably and brings a unique perspective when approaching a problem.

Liberty is ecstatic to bring her passion for advocacy and collaboration to a new stage, joining Tulane University School of Medicine’s class of 2029 this fall (2025). In developing these attributes from disparate disciplines, Liberty believes looking at any situation through more than one lens is critical, which she looks forward to bringing to her career in medicine. Alongside her medical studies, she hopes to continue her freelance work in Talent Logistics for live televised performances and pursue ways in which she can stay involved in Theatre and Entertainment Management and Producing.
