Jacey Lozada

Dramaturg

2025, she/her/siya BHA, Dramaturgy & Global Studies

Jacey Lozada (she/her/siya) was born in the San Fernando Valley beside a decorated Filipino strip mall. As the daughter of immigrants, an ate (older sister), and multidisciplinary creative, her work is committed to amplifying global majority voices through her work. Her inaccessibility to the arts codified her decision to pursue a career in theatre through community work and storytelling.

She is based in Pittsburgh, PA pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Humanities, combining Dramaturgy and Global Studies with a minor in Literature and Culture to contextualize the histories her work centers on. At Carnegie Mellon, her key dramaturgy credits include Put Your House in Order (dir. Alyssa Rivera) and Lorca in a Green Dress (dir. Samantha Pazos). Outside of  the university, she has conducted archival and historical work for City Theatre Company, and organization for the 2024 Theatre Communications Group Conference. Her work centers on exploring the most intimate, rotten parts of ourselves and futures of liberation.
