Addie Saltz
Director
2025, she/her BFA Drama, Directing
Addie Saltz (she/her/hers) is a director and writer based currently in Pittsburgh and South Florida. Having experience in every aspect of performing arts, she is well-equipped to handle any task you may throw at her. Leading with collaboration and empathy is at the heart of her practice, and she promises you won’t leave a room with her without laughing.
Her first recollection of performing was at age 5, when she played the villainous yet charming Lady Macbeth in a new adaptation, Macbeth in Space. With her zero-gravity performance, she won hearts – mainly those of the parents of other 5-year-olds – but gained a love of the arts in the process.
She has moved on from wearing her old Halloween costumes in low-budget productions, to find new passion in musicals, contemporary retellings of classics, and new works. Her senior capstone, The Grown-Ups, combines her love of theatre and her interest in politics.
Her previous work experience includes internships at Santa Cruz Shakespeare (under Paul Mullins, King Lear, 2022), Calleri Jensen Davis (NYC, casting assistantship, 2024), and extensive work with the Broward Center for the Performing Arts’ Education Department in Fort Lauderdale, where she has assisted in the construction of many MTI Pilot Productions.
She hopes to work as a director, in casting, or in arts administration, and is always happy to meet for an overpriced latte.
