A Bright New Boise

Loneliness, Connection and the American Dream

Seeking to reconnect with his son before the rapture comes, a disgraced evangelical from northern Idaho applies for a job at the Boise Hobby Lobby. As he tries to make things right with the son he abandoned, a dark past is unearthed and the employees of the once-calm store contend with the chaos he has brought them. By examining the lives of five disparate souls trying to make it work in Boise, Idaho, A BRIGHT NEW BOISE questions what it means to find meaning in our lives, our opportunities in America, and how we can start and restart when we are seemingly unwanted.

Tickets are free and available to reserve online beginning at 12pm the day before each performance.

“I think this play will connect very deeply with the growing unease that many Americans, especially younger ones, feel about the future of our world.”

-Cole Schubert | Director
